Word NYC has no accounts. Browsing the map never asks for your name, email or location.

What stays on your device

If you pick genre filters, your browser remembers them so the map opens the same way next time. That choice is stored only in your browser and you can clear it by clearing this site's data.

Submitting a show

If you send us a show through the Submit a show form, we keep what you entered so we can review it and list it. The show details (title, performers, venue, time, price, link, description) may be published on the site. Your email is used only to contact you about that submission and is never published or sold. Ask us to delete a submission at any time.

Services that load with the page

Like any website, these receive your IP address and basic browser details when your browser fetches files from them:

Ticket links

Some "Get tickets" links go through affiliate programs, such as Ticketmaster's and SeatGeek's programs run by Impact. When you click one, the ticket seller and Impact may set cookies so the sale can be credited to Word NYC. We earn a commission on some purchases; it doesn't change the price you pay. Those companies' own privacy policies cover what they collect.

Advertising

When the site shows ads, they come from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure them. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's My Ad Center, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in regions that require it are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

Sponsored listings are shows a venue or promoter paid to feature. They are always labeled Sponsored.

Visitor counts

We may count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across sites.

Children

Word NYC is meant for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13.
